Loom Weaving

Erika took summer workshops in Idyllwild during the summers of 2002 and 2015 with Navajo "Two Grey Hills" weaver Barbara Teller Ornelas.  The teaching began with building one's own upright loom and skills in spinning raw wool.  Natural wool is strictly used, in some cases retaining its original color. Erika has made a series of small pieces measuring roughly 18 x 24".
